Joining the Work Force

Despite it being only my sophomore year, it’s important to consider how you can begin to make contributions to society.

Although the title may suggest otherwise, there are plenty of things you can do outside of internships/co-op programs. By the way, in case you didn’t know there’s internships, the one we all know where we send out hundreds of applications. Then there’s the national co-op program, which is like Lehigh’s but on a national scale, and then there is the Lehigh Co-op program, which is only for Lehigh.

There are also plenty of community service clubs/projects you can get involved in if those don’t sound appealing. Of course, all of us will want an internship position somewhere down the line, but it’s also nice to be able to get a taste of everything before you commit yourself to one path.
