Hey Everyone, so for those of you that went, you know that Lehigh’s first career fair for the school year was last week. I was lucky enough to attend and meet some pretty interesting companies and thought I would share two companies for those who couldn’t make it.
I’d like to start off with a company that I thought was extremely interesting. Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is a “global technology leader in the Aerospace, Transportation, Defense, and Security markets with 65,000 employees in 56 countries.” Some of projects that Thales works on are helmet-mounted displays and motion tracking technologies; SATCOM terminals; advanced sonar systems; air traffic management navigation, and surveillance, and simulation. With projects like these Thales, formerly Thales Communications, Inc., is able to provide innovative solutions for the ground tactical, airborne and avionics, and naval/maritime. Currenlty, Thales is looking for graduates with either Bachelor of Science or Master of Engineering degrees in the fields of computer engineering, computer/science engineering, or engineering in general. The second company I found interesting was Victualic, an originator and world’s leading producer of mechanical pipe joining solutions.As of now, the company consist of “14 manufacturing facilities and 29 branches worldwide with 3,600 employees who speak 43 languages across the globe.” The company has a large number of products such as adapters, couplings, valves, expansion joints, hydroponic balancing, sprinklers and many more. The materials used for these products range from aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC and others. Products from Victualic can be found all around the world in from “commercial pipe installations; industrial process and utility piping; residential and commercial fire protection piping; oil and offshore drilling platforms; coal and mineral mining operations; and water and wastewater plants and facilities.” Victualic is currently looking for Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Business & Economics, Business & Engineering (MBAE), Chemical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, IDEAS, Industrial Engineering,Management, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain Management.
