SO! Thanksgiving Break is ALMOST here! Just a little while more. We can do it, guys.
Mech class has been going a little more smoothly as of late. How about any of the rest of you? Mech 003? We swapped back to our first textbook (the class uses two textbooks) for a little, and while I like the other book better, the topic we’re handling right now isn’t that tough (although it did take me a while to parse what the textbook was saying). Apart from that, classes are going all right. Did fine on the second calc exam, got full marks on my theater exam… yeah, classes are actually going pretty well! I’m already starting to organize studying materials for the Mech final, though. Oh, boy, that’s going to be a tough one.
Some upcoming events! On Thursday (oh–tomorrow!), Spectrum is hosting a small memorial for the Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to remember all those killed in the past year because of discrimination and prejudice against transgender people. It’s quite a somber affair. It won’t be too long, either, so don’t worry about your toes freezing off. The event starts at 7:30 on the UC front lawn. Dress warm.
Also on Thursday, the Spanish Club and Spectrum are collaborating to host a movie, Contracorriente (Undertow), which is an award-winning Peruvian film. There will be PIZZA, too! 4:30pm in Maginnes 113.
I think that’s about it for now. Keep your head up, everybody, and keep moving forward!
